Start approaching life with intention
Searching for a counselor is the first step toward you getting support through life transitions. As you move through life, you fulfill several roles– friend, parent, partner/spouse, worker, community member, citizen of the world, and the list goes on. It can be challenging to find ways to bring your authentic self to each of these rolls. Therapy can help you explore the issues that are limiting your expression of your true self. It can give you tools to approach them with mindfulness and intention rather than reactivity. Therapy is a collaborative effort between you and your therapist to work toward your goals. You are the author of the life you want.
